Suitable training courses may be provided for these packages:

  • Pastel
  • Quicken
  • Other packages by arrangement

Popular business accounting packages, such as those from Sage, Intuit, TAS or Pastel, have many "modules" (Nominal Ledger, Sales Order Processing, Purchase Ledger, etc.) and a good rule of thumb is to allow one day per module.

However, there are often savings in time when training is required over several related modules. For instance, Sales and Purchase Ledgers can often be dealt with together.

Staff should be familiar with the Operating Environment, otherwise accounts training should be preceded with appropriate training.

During the accounts course you will cover all the relevant routines you are likely to meet in your own business, and get fully confident of both posting information in and getting it out. You will also get to grips with the options available that can help to tailor the system to your requirements.

Typical components for each module:

  • Getting into the module
  • Using relevant settings
  • Designing any document (e.g. invoice, pay advice, etc.)
  • Carrying out posting and update routines
  • Running built-in reports
  • Exploring any report which can be tailored by yourselves
  • Exporting data to your chosen package (e.g. Excel)
  • Handling disks, doing security backup, etc.
